Finca La Soledad is based in the Intag Valley, in North Ecuador. It's a 120 hectare cloud forest with a small, 4 hectare production of Typica Mejorado, Gesha and Sidra. Owned and operated by Pepe Jijon, his wife, daughter and son.

The approach to coffee is with a biodynamic mindset, believing the full moon cycle is the ideal time for harvest and that listening to nature is the way forward when it comes to agriculture.

In addition to producing coffee, Pepe is also roasting coffee and distributing into the local market. Having a lab and roasting facility at origin changes the perspective and insights about this beautiful product.

Before coffee, Pepe was the first Latin American to solo climb all 7 summits - the highest summit on each continent. From explorer, and mountain climber, to coffee producer and green planet advocate.
