Jairo Arcila is a third generation coffee grower from Quindío, Colombia. Jairo is the father of Felipe and Carlos of Jardines del Eden. He purchased his first coffee farm, Finca La Esmeralda in 1987, where he planted his first Caturra lot. He was fortunate enough to earn money by producing coffee while also working full time for one of Colombia's largest coffee exporters. Using his savings Jairo slowly managed to purchase five additional farms. First Villarazo, then Mazatlan, Santa Monica, Maracay and Buenos Aires. In the future, you can look forward to a wider array of Jairo's coffees being featured at Forward.

This lot underwent a one day fermentation in an anaerobic environment. Following this, the fermentation was extended in GrainPro bags submerged in a water tank for consistent temperature control. It was then placed on raised beds to dry in whole cherry, stalled in the middle of this drying and gathered in GrainPro for two days, then left again to dry fully.
